GreenPaganello is a project started in 2008 that continues improving year after year. The goal is to make the tournament completely sustainable in both environmental and social impacts.

clean Energy
All the power required to operate the Paganello is clean because it’s provided by the Municipality of Rimini through  Multiutility. Multiutility produces energy only from renewable sources.

plastic
The organization of Paganello rejects the use of all items of disposable plastic (bottles, glasses, plates, cutlery) during the event. Well, game disc is allowed!

water saving
Water supply is designed to avoid plastic and packing waste, and besides, to save water.  Paganello provides the supply of water that can be filled, as needed, at the drinking fountains provided by the Rimini Lifeguards Committee ‘E’ mer in festa”.

separate waste collection
GreenPaganello’s success depends on all participants and visitors, that’s why we ask our guests to pay attention to separate waste collection.

There are few simple rules to follow at Paganello, in order to get a clean beach and a cleaner world:
1) Yellow waste bins
–> plastics and aluminium (cans, tins etc. )
2) Green waste bins
-> glass only
3) Brown waste bins –> organic waste ( food and Mater Bi *)

what is Mater Bi
To make it even greener, all the cutlery, cups and food containers Paganello will give you, are made of Mater Bi, a bioplastic designed to biodegrade, 100 % organic!

In 2011, during the tournament, SCOUTS (Group Rimini 7) will be the monitoring team for the separate waste collection.

These guys will hep to guarantee a better separate waste collection in Paganello 2011.
In return for this big help, the organization of Paganello will provide the partial financing of the Scout project “A Bridge to Kadd Diol.
What is the project “A Bridge to Diol Kadd?
Diol Kadd is a village 300 km far from Dakar (Senegal) where the Association Takku Ligey is trying to promote the area and local folklore through Theatre, Music, Tourism and “Earth”. The main problem there, is that many people leave the country in search of better living conditions.
The idea of Rimini7 Scouts is to fly and stay for 13 days in Diol Kadd and get involved by sharing the life and work of the Association Takku Ligey. Then, once come back in Italy to testify in what they personally will see and live. In this way ,the cultural exchange will fuel the work of promoting the city of Diol Kadd to foreign countries.
